If you firmly believe that your expertise in investment management is what will make you more successful, you are very likely at the Technician level. Given that investment management is becoming more commoditized every day, you’re probably finding that it’s very difficult to compete. If you remain at the Technician level, it may be impossible to achieve your most important goals over the long run.
If your most important focus is providing a world-class experience to your clients, you are likely at the Experimenter level. As a result, you’re probably seeing increases in your income and assets under management. But you may also be frustrated because you’ve not yet landed on systematic client processes that will enable you to scale up.
If you do have these systems in place, you’re probably at the Rainmaker level. And because you have these systems, client referrals have become your main source of new business. However, your challenge may be that these referrals are for people of the same or less wealth than your current clients, making it hard to move upmarket.
And if you’re consistently earning a net income of at least $1 million a year, you’re at the Elite level. You’ve arrived: You’re able to live the life you want and pursue your most important goals for yourself, your loved ones and the causes you care about.
No matter where you are now in the hierarchy, you want to move upward. The question is how fast do you want to go?
Do you want to take your time—likely many years—to make significant progress? Or do you want to achieve your most important goals faster than you ever thought possible?
CEG Worldwide’s coaching puts you on the fast track.
