

Jon Stone is president and CEO of Apex Partners. Mr. Stone has more than 25 years' experience in venture capital, investment banking and corporate development. Most recently he served as the vice president of corporate development at Synaptics, Inc., where he played an integral role in the company's strategic planning, M and A, and partnership activities. During his tenure, Synaptics grew revenue from $100M to $208M, increased net profit from $8M to $38M and sextupled market capitalization. Previously he was a successful independent strategic and transaction advisor to several successful growth companies, including Reinhardt Werba Bowen, which he sold to Assante Capital Management in 1998. From 1984 to 1994, he served as a general partner of the Sprout Group, a large and diversified venture capital fund and the venture capital affiliate of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (subsequently acquired by Credit Suisse First Boston). Sprout was the original venture capital investor in SEI Investments.
Stone earned a B.A. in history and economics from Brandeis University, an MBA in finance and accounting from Columbia University, and an M.A. in religious studies from Stanford University.
